TIRF works to build community through rugby and rugby through community. They bring together Toronto area rugby clubs and schools to build a community playing and training model that consists of strong school programs, club rugby, representative rugby and training academies.TIRF’s programs increase access to rugby and support the sports’ local infrastructure. Their activities promote students’ well-being and expound the core values of rugby integrating leadership with the rugby ethos of hard work, camaraderie, and mutual respect. Their organization supports the expansion of the game and assists Toronto clubs to deliver vibrant rugby programs locally.


Rugby Canada offers Men’s and Women’s National Programs at various age levels including Under 17, Under 19 and Under 20. Providing the opportunity for Canada’s players to compete on the international stage, in various age categories and for both men and women, has allowed Rugby Canada to become a world leader in the development of Junior Rugby.


The Toronto Wolfpack RLFC are a Canadian professional rugby league club, based in Toronto, which competes in the British Rugby Football League system. As of 2018 the club will compete in the Championship, having begun play in 2017 in League 1 and won promotion in its inaugural season. The club is notable as being the first North American team to play in the Rugby Football League system, the first fully professional rugby league team in Canada and the world’s first transatlantic rugby league team.
